Jesse and I have discussed me making a mini book for each of our children covering their stories,but for now I have made a book about our family, and how our family grows. With each addition to our family the story will continue. I really went back and forth on whether or not to make separate books for each child. I couldn't figure out where each individual story should begin and end, but I think as our family grows that will become more apparent, and then I will start those individual books.
For the first page I made it so that the photo can slide out from the photo corners to update as our family grows. I will then add these photos to the back of the book.
I blocked and blurred Daniel's birth mom for his and her privacy, and respect to both, and the journaling pulls from the tag for the same reason. His story is not mine to tell...
Well I'm still not sure if this whole book idea is a good or bad idea. But one thing I can say is that at this moment in time the book is a huge hit with Daniel. I finished it up today and he must have had me "read" it to him 20 times! I don't actually read it to him word for word. We discuss the photos and their significance. He pretty much talked about the book all day after I finished it up and read it to him for the first time. On a side note in searching for photos for this book we found an old photo CD from the courthouse- what a treasure!!!! we hadn't realized that these photos existed. The last page photo is from that CD.
