What's up with the Johnsons?

I recently visited a friends blog who had highlighted the happenings with her family since the beginning of this year. I thought what a great idea! And, I should do the same since I haven't blogged in a while. ---So, much for new years resolutions, eh.

So, here goes-

1. Daniel started preschool and is loving it. He has brought home critter the class furry baby for an at home adventure, been the child of the day and brought the snacks for his class, has painted, made lots of new friends, and received his first valentine from a school mate. He thought that was really cool.

2. Elena is still going a hundred miles an hour crashing only for her afternoon nap. Then she is off again for more mayhem and mischief with her sidekick- Daniel. We go to the library for story time while Daniel is in preschool and have other fun mommy and me adventures. Next week we are adding the little peepers program from the Boardman Nature Center to our mommy and me schedule of activities. In addition to princesses Elena is into Handy Manny (who knew?), counting, and her sing along books.

3. Elena has been to the doctor numerous times for her scalp condition, the molluskum(sp?), and immunizations. She has to have all her immunizations redone since there is no record of what immunizations she may have had before. I hate those days! On the 18th both Daniel and Elena have back to back immunization- SO NOT GOING TO BE A FUN MORNING!

4. We had a trip to the emergency room for Elena when she awoke from her nap with her right eye puffed out so much she couldn't even open it! It looked like she had been in a fist fight. All was quiet when I thought I heard something. I went in to check on her and she was laying on her bed crying. She said to me "Mommy I am scared." I looked at her and was like "OH MY GOSH!" Of course I didn't say that. I swooped her into my arms and called Jesse up stairs to take a look. We thought maybe one of the molluskum had become infected. It turned out to be something else. Three weeks of antibiotics and her eye is much better!

5. Daniel had both an X ray and MRI of his right knee and leg. Both came out free of disease. THANK YOU GOD! It was so stressful there for a while. And, since then I just haven't been able to go near the computers to catch up with family and friends. Every time I go near one I feel like a heavy weight has been put on me or like I am swimming in thick glue, and that is why you haven't seen much of me around these past couple months. Jesse and I have been totally focusing on our family- not like we don't do that anyhow! But, it is even more so now!!!

6. Jesse and I have been watching way too much Countdown and Rachel Maddow. And, lesbian or not I think someones got a crush on Rachel! And, it's not me-HA!

7. I had my braces taken off! I'm loving it, but not so much with the retainers :(

8. WE ARE ADOPTING AGAIN :) :) :) :) :) :) This time from South Korea and we have just begun the about 2 year process.

That's what's up with the Johnson family these days. What's up with you?
