Last year I started doing the 25 Days of Christmas with the kids. Each morning they awake to a treat of some sort. It may be a toy, or items for a project to be done later in the day, or even a sweet little treat. They mark the day on the calendar and they do an extra chore to earn stars for their santa bucks. With their Santa bucks they get to go to the store and pick gifts for other children to receive for Christmas. They get to be Santa's little helpers, because everyone even Santa needs a little help from time to time. This was a lot of fun last year. This new "tradition" has fast become a favorite.
