Practice will make perfect?

I have been taking a lot of really bad photos lately, so I decided it was time to get my 2 favorite photography books out and and do a little review. Friday was an overcast day. PERFECT! It's the easiest condition to take photos in for natural light without a flash. My goal was to stay in manual mode and not use the flash. The flash went off a few times, you can easily tell those photos apart from the rest. Anyhow below are 3 slideshows of what I got. I also pulled my favorites and posted those individually in no particular order. I'm really not looking for perfection- It's all relative anyhow. Right?

Today is sunny and Jesse wants to go pick raspberries again. Now to try my hand behind the camera on a bright day. We're off, so wish me luck!
