Play dates and other fun happenings

Since we have moved here, Daniel asks about his friends from where we used to live, pretty much on a daily basis. I know he wants to be around other little people like himself, so we do a lot of trips to play at the play station at the mall, go the the library and other activities. Well he has made his first new friend. (I'll call her Maddy as I don't have her parents permission to put her name in my blog) They have had 3 play dates thus far, and it is so wonderful to see them together! Daniel asks about her all the time and it is just so darn cute! The funny thing about it though is that they don't exactly play "together"- more like parallel play. I think they just love the idea of the other ones presence.

So far they have been to the park twice together and a county fair, which was their first "date"--- SO DARN CUTE!!! At the fair they both had their fist carnival ride, which was these old time cars that went around in a circle. It was the absolute funniest thing to watch :)

And, yesterday we went to an open house for Kindermusic. The instructors were very fun and enthusiastic, but at first Daniel wasn't too sure about the whole thing, but by the end he was laughing and dancing about and having a wonderful time! I signed him up, and his first session Will be next week.

The public school system has an A Way to Grow program with a calendar of activities. We are waiting to hear more about that. It looks like it will be another avenue for fun activities for Daniel.
